Dennis J. D'Amico

MS, Ph.D.


​Dennis D’Amico is a trained food scientist with expertise in food microbiology and safety. Prior to joining UConn he was a founding member of the Vermont Institute for Artisan Cheese (2004-13) where he served as Senior Research Scientist and Lecturer
Dennis has established an active and collaborative research program at UConn externally funded by more than 20 grants from a variety of sources including the USDA, industry groups, and several foundations. He has published more than 80 scholarly manuscripts, book chapters, and abstracts and has delivered more than 30 invited talks at regional, national, and international conferences.
